Getting stains out of clothes

Okay, I need some ideas along this line... my daughter has a brown stain on her yellow school sweatshirt (yes, the school decided that bright yellow is fine for putting nursery and reception children in :mad: ). I didn't notice it when I washed it but then OH ironed it before I noticed the stain. I've tried Oxiclean, stardrops, fairy soap, soaking, but I have no idea what the stain is so do you think I have exhausted all hope and set the stain? Or is there a glimmer of hope somewhereCreeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0

My favourite stain remover is to apply neat fairyliquid (or good quality washing up liquid) directly to the stain then wash as normal. This works for me!:DDo what you love :happyhear0

I know that when I've left my washing on the line overnight and the frost has got to the clothes some stains have strangely dissapeared - so much so that I sometimes do it deliberately in the winter months. I don't know if popping the laundered item in the freezer might have the same effect? I'm sure it won't do any harm.
