Jobs For 17 Year Olds

Options
Hi Folks

Could someone please give us an idea of where my DS could start looking around for a part time job?

He's been given the chance to go on a trip of a lifetime (college words) not mine, and there's not a chance that we can raise the money needed on time - deposit needs to be paid by Monday!

Thanks

Sal

  • I'm 17 and at college. I work part time in McDonalds, its not a great job but money is money at the end of the day. I get paid £4.35 more than my other friends who work in Adams, etc and are on min wage.

I also do avon, my mom signed up but i do the work and get the money. Which is another £40 a month.

I am also saving for a once in a lifetime opportunity, a trip to the rainforest :-)

The trip i am going to the deposit was £100 but i didnt have enough at the time so my parents gave me an advance on my birthday money so i had enough.

my daughter works in the local co-op now and does casual waitressing at a local hotel,

In the past she has done a paper round, worked as a children's party organiser at a local leisure centre and a couple of different waitressing jobs. She also did a baby sitting course and gets occasional jobs.

At this time of year a lot of hotels will need extra waiting staff at christmas time.
