The tax codes are correct in theory: 647L for job number 1 covers the £6,475 Personal Allowance that you can earn before you start paying income tax.
BR for job number 2 is correct too: it means that they assume that your Personal Allowance is taken care of in the other job so they are taking a Basic Rate of 20% in tax.
However the tax amounts deducted seem strange: you would need to give more figures to get better answers.Who having known the diamond will concern himself with glass?

sorry i should of been more clearer that is the actual wages i come out with and iam still getting taxed on such a small earning
off both jobs
so totla a week is £1090 -
Your first job has a code of 647L which means you can earn up to £6475 on that job without paying tax.
Your second job is taxed at BR which means it is all taxed at 20%
If you don't think you will earn £6475 in your first job this tax year you can call HMRC and give them your estimated gross income for job 1 so that they can allocate any left over personal allowance to your second job.
Example - job 1 estimated gross income is £3500 so £6475 - £3500 = £2975 left over to allocate to job 2. The respective tax codes would then be 350 and 297This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
How old are you? £52 for 10 hours is less than the minimum wage if you are over 22.
How much tax is being taken on both jobs?
All your allowance is being used on your first job and you are being taxed at 20% on your second. If you contact your tax office, they'll be able to split your allowance over the two jobs so that you are taxed roughly the same by both employers.0
