Pillow Ticking

Does anyone know where I can buy pillow ticking on-line? (ie. the featherproof cloth that pillows are made of). I have asked at numerous drapers/fabric/haberdashers, but have had no luck at all.:(

Thanks - had spotted that one, but the price is exorbitant!!!! - also it doesn't say suitable for pillows (the cloth has some sort of treatment applied - it certainly can't be washed or it stops being feather proof). I think ebay is my only hope.

If you google featherproof ticking then you get a better range of hits - and you don't need Ian Mankin designer ones. My experience of his fabric from my upholstery days is that it is often not true (ie that if you withdraw a thread, you cannot use it as a 90 degree straight edge as you can with most fabrics - *waits to be sued*). Not such a problem with herringbone weave anyway, but still ridiculously expensive. How about this or, if you particularly want a stripey one, then this, but that's getting pricey again. You can make your ticking "more" featherproof by rubbing the inside (wrong side) of the pillow over with a beeswax stick, by the way.

i asked the same question in my local, sorry only, fabric shop and they didnt have a clue what i was talking about. so i told her nicely that that sort of fabric (well, the stripy matress ticking kind) was all over house magazines at the momenet. so i've been meaning to look in County Living to see where their designers get it for practicly every other cushion in their staged shots!!
