another poster was talking about this website - I have nothing to do with the site, only just seen it, but I did think that their guide about what Network marketing is would be well worth a read for anyone who is considering joining one of the many companies out there, or who is sceptical.

What is Network marketing?

It looks like there will be lots of other useful advice on there too.

I thought it was very helpful if you are not sure what the concept is. There is advice on other areas of the website as far as I could see.

People often associate MLM and Network Marketing with Ponzi schemes (ie scams), but there are many legitimate companies that use this method as an alternative to advertising and employing direct sales forces.

As far as I can see, the site you mentioned is associated with some well recognised names in the network marketing arena and whilst the MLM approach is not something that appeals to everyone (you may have to be a bit "Pushy" to make it work), there are opportrunities for those with a suitably outgoing character.

The site in question has many MLM links where people are trying to recruit for personal gain.

I appreciate the OP mentioned this in good faith, but this site does not allow the promotion of such links.

im a member of one of the mlm companies on that site - not sure of the rules so wont mention which one?

Its brilliant, the traning was fantastic, Its not pushy and it helps me now to earn some money while still being able to be a "stay at home" mum for my little boy. Poster above me mentioned people are trying to recruit for personal gain.. Thats what we all are trying to do increase our income for personal gain - its why we work overtime or ask for a payrise.

Some people are negative about MLM, I was one of them!! but i've been researching companies for about a year now and am glad I made the decision to join one!! Each to his own and let your personal attitude guide you

Network marketing opportunity is a big choice. But how do you choose which network marketing opportunity is the right one for you. Network marketing has gotten a bad repute because of the abundance of scams and illegal Ponzi schemes out there, but a network marketing opportunity is not necessarily bad.

Your mixing up increasing your income with Spamming.

I mentioned it because its in breach of the site rules.I quote.

Was simply adding to the discussion that network marketing could be a potential source of great income as long as people do their research ask questions, and certify if the scheme/product/service is something they would be interested in and can promote in their daily lives.

I do think these boards are great, and have had so much help and info from the people on here.. but there is perhaps a huge negativity on here against network marketers (who as you say have perhaps in the past recruited on here without professing their interest) but overall the industry itself is a good source of extra income if people are looking for something to do part time around family life, children or main jobs etc.

Anyway, best of luck to OP hope you find what you're after - I'm off to ebay.

I dont think Ypaymore was suggesting you were spamming personally. It looks like to me that he was responding to your comment that hinted it was ok to post for personal gain.:D

Yes I agree with that , I Don't condone spammers who post or send PMs blindly in the hopes someone will click and they will get a measly 10p or something!!

If its done responsibly, with full explanations, the way for eg Martin funds this site, through the * links then its acceptable as people have a choice to click or not
