Temp 2nd Job?

Hi there,

I'm currently in full-time employment but have a large number of holidays
still outstanding with little to do that need to be taken by the close of
the year. Therefore, I was considering taking on a temporary job for
around 2 weeks to earn some extra cash rather than having waste holidays?

Do you think agencies will have jobs that'll fit this requirement and will this affect my tax in anyway?

I know a guy who does this to pay off his massive debts. I think it only affects your tax if the agency put you on the wrong code but you'd need to speak with them to confirm. Also, I would probably quietly ask someone in HR if this would be ok, some companies are weird about second jobs.

Agencies would be fine with that kind of requirement but with things as they are at the moment, you'd be fortunate to get two weeks of work when you wanted it considering there are so many people desperate for work and not many jobs.

A second job wont affect your tax. The agency will simply tax your pay at 20%, which is the same rate as if you were doing overtime in your main job.
