    What does 'OEM' mean ?

    OEM = Original Equipment Manufacturer, usually components that are then bundled or rebadged by a reseller, if bought as OEM they tend not to have any of the excessive packaging or, indeed, any instructions.

    And usually cut down versions, with just basic functionality.

    yeah the Nero 6.6 was cut down. i.e. it couldn't burn on DVD. whcihc since its a DVD burning program was a bit wierd!

    Does this enable burning to DVD? Felt a little stung by the Nero 6 oem I ordered from Tekheads which didn't allow burning to DVD (other than data files). Not complaining mind, it was dead cheap and caveat emptor after all
