Making tomato sauce for pasta

This is probably the dumbest question Ive ever asked on a public forum however....

I bought some tomatoes today as they were reduced, and I thought Id make a yummy pasta sauce with them. I remember one of my old housemates doing it, so I know it can be done LOL

But how? I do have an aversion to ACTUAL tomatoes although i love tomato pasta, Ive never made my own before. I have 2 packs of 6 "normal" and one little punnet mini plum tomatoes.

So, how do I cook it :confused:
