we now know why we got turned down for a new mortgage due to our credit score.
i have got our score from experian 529!!!!!!!low or what out of 1000.
this is why it got declined.
now why???

in january we canceled a credit card but aweek later a transaction from august got put on it. becasue the card is closed they don't send out statements so it took 2 months of not paying anything for them to conact us & let us know. at this point we questioned the transaction & after waiting a month we had the transaction withdrawn last week & all charges paid back to us.

due to this on our score this shows as 2 late ments in a short time soknocked our score , plus the fact that we have tired 3 mortgage compaines to change to as not understanding why we were being knocked back so having too many checks has also knocked our score.

i have now phoned both experian & credit card company& they have said we canwrite in & they willchange it.
then i phoned c&g who declined us & they have said if we can get a lettersaying they have changed the score they will look into it again.

so fingers crossed in the next month or so we will be able to fix our mortgage as last.:T :T :T :T :T

This shows the importance of finding out why a credit application is refused before making applications to other lenders. You can add a notice of correction to your credit report to explain what happened, then it depends on the attitude of lenders you apply to in the future. I'm afraid the credit searches can't be removed if they are factually correct. Bear in mind your Experian National Credit Score is only a guide for you. Most lenders use their own scoring systems.
