Bankruptcy, council tax and the local government ombudsman !

This is my last thread for peopl who wish to know

aftger complaining and complaining to my local council and the fact they have ignored my complaint , the Official receiver complaint and forgot their own rule and laws then i went to the local goverment ombudsman.

oh boy did it pay off ! they have issued a refund by recriting the overpayment into my current tax bill which i am happy with and apology for the way they have treated me, just for the apology is a small victory for me for the principle that i was right and they were wrong .

so for people who have issued with their council tax and bankruptcy and after exhausting all avenue, then you should consider complaining to the Local government ombudsman they will help you if you have a genuine case . it is worth it !

    thanks i hope too they wil send similar response to other council too because the stress i had was unbelievable at one point they were just about to send bailiff etc...... .

    I'm really pleased for you and the outcome. More so, that I have just raised a complaint with my council for the same thing (as you may remember). I'll certainly bear this in mind when I get the responses that I am eagerly waiting for.

    I'll keep you updated on my issues with CT.
