Help re steam generator iron first use

Received my Tefal GV7150 and used it for the first time today. Am a little concerned as the bottom of the iron seems to have gone a bit brown. I'm not sure if I had it a little too hot as it did seem to stick and drag on a couple of items. May take a bit of getting used to how powerful it is as old iron was pretty poor by comparison. Any advise please, is this a temperature issue that has caused this to happen and how can I clean iron now it has happened. Apart from this i'm really pleased with iron, my only gripe would be is that you don't seem to be able to detach water chamber to empty (booklet says you can but I think it refers to various models and I cannot see a way of doing it with this model).

Seems the temperature was too hot. My Tefal instruction book says to clean the ceramic plate with a non-metalic damp sponge when the iron is warm. Don't use detergents, etc.
regards emptying the machine, mines the same. Book says the tank is detachable but its not. Its easy to tip up and empty though0 -
Hi there.
I have a Bosch 25L Steam Generator iron that keeps on leaking brown water. I wondered if you know how to clean out the iron. Is there anything I can buy to add to the iron and clean it out.
Also, by using bottled water made by comfort, are they any good.
Thanks

I don't know how helpful this will be to you all but I use the water from my Condenser Dryer to fill my iron!
