I know, thank god the weekend - any excuse ey! Well, just so you know - I've spotted the laptop on ebay (new but box damaged - and seller has good v good feedback for damanged box goods). Its there for £592.95inc del! so cheaper still!! if you wanna look, I'll best not paste the link - I know spamming rule type things..eek!
Just look up HP 'NX6125 WiFi Laptop with 1 Yr Wrty BNIB (EK157ET)' on an ebay site of your choice
Only thing keeping me from buying it is, i guess, the thought of missing out on another machine being more of a bargain! haha - oh and theres the memory (which is good but...to upgrade to a gig, you'd have to replace both sticks in there as only 2 slots), and the fact the processor cache is so small at 512kb :undecided0 -
Hola! :j
Just to busy up this board again...
The one of the laptops I've mentioned before has JUST been discounted to £699 at comet online. Acer 5622.
http://www.comet.co.uk/comet/html/cache/572_314315.html
Now, with Quidco, you can get this beast for £675! For a dual core, 1gb ram, 80h/d, and basic gfx (to handle the older games) this has to be a right find? Elsewhere you'd be looking to pay at least £775 - check it out.
Just though i'd spread the word....to you guys.

I got this wee number http://www.currys.co.uk/martprd/product/seo/Computing/Laptops/ADVENT/7082/935200[/url]
Only £499
If you buy it without free Laptop Bag, Mouse & Data Storage stick!
It only cost £299.
Expensive Laptop Bag, Mouse & Data Storage stick I thought.
I got it for uni work and it does everything I require.0 -

My sister has just asked me to check out Acer for £399 at Tescos. Seems it's only in store not online. We live 200 miles apart so I can't go and check it out - all she can remember is that HD was 40gb! Has anyone seen these or adverts for them? They just want a basic laptop to replace their tower.
Thanks

the current Dell Inspiron 1300 is still a better offer, faster processor, double the Memory and a bigger hard disk + wireless card all for £349
the BT one is a bit vague but I think it's the older Inspiron 1100Ex forum ambassador
