Hi guy's
It's been a while since I last posted though I haven't been far I have been reading lot's. Still a lot of great people here giving lots of good help and advice as always.
I have a few questions, I better start with a quick update: I went BR in Jan and have so far had an IPA imposed which starts this month. it got a bit hairy at one point I think the postal strikes were losing my IPOQ's and signed IPA agreement's resulting in me getting shirty letters from the OR threatening IPO's  so went down there personally and signed it in person in front of the VERY young but very pleasant OR, disaster averted :T I have also had the letter from the OR saying my file will soon be passed to RTLU and I have had the IPA paying details from Moonbeever. Loverly Jubbly right?
The only thing is I don't do well with uncertainty so can someone fill be in on how this works.
:money:Do I have to have regular i/e reviews apart from the 21 day change in circumstances?
:money:if so how often?
:money:Who does it, is it Moonbeever or RtLU?
:money:My agreement says advise changes in income does that include any bonuses? (not that I reckon I'll be getting any pay increases have already been frozen so not holding out for a bonus)
:money:Do they work on the original SOA allowances and just review any changes or is it a blank sheet review?
:money:What are the main changes in the allowances changes that I've been reading about?
I'm sure I have more questions but these are it for now. I seriously don't mind paying (life is hard but SOOOO much better now than this time last year) but I am thinking for armed is for warned these day. I have spreadsheet I live by I don't buy/do a thing without consulting it and it's goes ahead about 3 yrs with predicted changes. It's really helped me organise my new non-credit life and even though it has no margin for luxuries or even 'chest above water' (i.e. not just my head above water) it helps me see the light at the end of the tunnel and see any major issues that may arise that I might need to resolve.
Anyway thanks for reading and thanks for any response and keep up the good work guys.

:money:Do I have to have regular i/e reviews apart from the 21 day change in circumstances? No
:money:if so how often? You don't, though if you were being put forward for ED then they may ask you to redo an I&E
:money:Who does it, is it Moonbeever or RtLU? Any review (after change in income) would be done by RTLU, Moonbeever just collect payments.
:money:My agreement says advise changes in income does that include any bonuses? (not that I reckon I'll be getting any pay increases have already been frozen so not holding out for a bonus) It should include any changes in income, however if its a small one off payment, it's not really worth it. If you get a bonus of thousands then the OR will be interested.
:money:Do they work on the original SOA allowances and just review any changes or is it a blank sheet review? If you've notified them of a change in income then refer back to previously allowed amounts, I used my original and upped the allowances in line with inflation etc and it was ok
:money:What are the main changes in the allowances changes that I've been reading about? not sure, haven't redone mine for quite a while and not since discharge in march as have had no payrise.

:money:Do I have to have regular i/e reviews apart from the 21 day change in circumstances? Nope! you just tell them when you have any changes.
:money:if so how often? See above
:money:Who does it, is it Moonbeever or RtLU? Rtlu
:money:My agreement says advise changes in income does that include any bonuses? (not that I reckon I'll be getting any pay increases have already been frozen so not holding out for a bonus) Yep! any extra money you get you must let them know.
:money:Do they work on the original SOA allowances and just review any changes or is it a blank sheet review? No they send out a new form for you to fill in with all changes
:money:What are the main changes in the allowances changes that I've been reading about? Not a lot really. Don't let it worry you until you need to fill in a new form and come back and pop it up here.

Thank you guys this is really helpful.
I'd like to hear any other RTLU, MB related IPA experiences that anyone wants to share. Are the next 36 months going to be a breeze or life under the gastapo?

Got another one for you. How often if at all and under what circumstances do you have send in payslips/P60s?0

Hi CP,
That sounds like a long time since BR date to the ipa starting. I have read occassionally that it takes a while but i am shocked that it has taken 9 months:eek: and here was me thinkin i might not get one and i only went br in may.
Also, me and oh have been with MB/RTLU for some time now and never heard a word from them. When you first get the bumf from MB, it states that you must send payslips every month until further notice but I have never sent any since the initial assessment ones. oh gets paid weekly so its too much hassle to keep sending them. I have kept them in case they ask tho
As far as i have heard and read on here, the RTLU are pretty quiet and shouldnt bother you unless you need to advise them of any changes etc

I originally had a big issue with RTLU, i'd told them about an increase in pay (last year) and hadn't heard anything from them. A few months later I receive a letter saying they're applying for an attachment of earnings order against me
Apparently they'd increased my IPA but I hadn't received any of the letters so had been "underpaying" for a few months.
Anyway, I had a lovely contact at RTLU who realised what had happened ( I told her if i'd been given an increased IPA I would have queried it anyway as the increase they gave me took no consideration of inflated costs at the time) so she sent out new forms for a redetermination.. and she accepted my I&E and had my IPA reduced to below what it was before :j
Since then there's been very little contact (only admin stuff when I had to change payments from Clark willmot to moonbeever).
All in all so far so good (apart from the blip
) 19 months down, 17 to go!Got another one for you. How often if at all and under what circumstances do you have send in payslips/P60s?
I haven't sent RTLU any payslips. I orignally sent them to the OR but since then I haven't needed to (I have notified them about a pay increase though as you can see above and obviously will do for the next 17 months so in theory they could ask for a payslip to confirm what my income is):hello:Save a little money each month and at the end of the year you’ll be surprised at how little you have.An eye for an eye only ends up making the whole world blind0 -
Thanks Pmg, don't worry I 1st got my IPOQ in June and got the agreement early July queried it once, then went on holiday so didn't send back till August which went they didn't recieve so I went there in person in September to sign and ask the 1st payment to coincide with my Oct pay day. So really it only took 5 and bit months. Plus I only got passed to RTLU/MB once I had signed and it was set up, so I'm guessing you won't be getting one since your file is already with them.
If you don't have an IPA what dealings do you have with MB thought they only got involed in income/NN tax IPA's?0 -
Thank Waspeze I hope now that I've had my blip (Royal Mail induced) I can have a blip free 36 months now.0

Hi.
I declared BR in Jan 09. ED in Aug 09 when of IPA started. It states in the letter from MB that you should send payslips with each payment, however, they were referring to payslips they had sent with the letter with account number etc on it for reference. I have never been asked for employment payslips from OR/RTLU since being declared BR!
I queried the I&E and asked for a break down which they did. The RTLU and MB were very efficient, the breakdwn and letter from MB in total didnt take more than two weeks!! 3 payments down 33 to go!!0 -
