What to wear for court

Hi
While I know it's not a fashion parade I'm just after some advice of what I should wear to court tomorrow for my hearing.
I'm not an everyday shirt and tie man but should I wear a shirt and tie for court ? Or maybe just shirt and trousers ? Or is casual acceptable ?
Thanks

I went in a Polo Shirt and jeans. Chap before me was in a tracksuit. Go what you are comfortable in, but no real need for a shirt/tie.
Best of luck for tomorrow!0 -
Whilst you won't be kicked out for wearing ripped jeans, remember too you wouldn't be kicked out of most funerals for wearing the same but you wouldn't want to.
My advice is black trousers and a smart, clean, pressed shirt. Ideally a tie too, but otherwise trousers and a shirt is fine. It will make relatively little difference to the outcome, but if you need to appear before the Judge, appearances matter particularly if they have any questions to your SOA.0 -
Hubbie wore shirt & smart casual trousers - no tie.
To be honest I dont think it will make any difference, but may help you feel more comfortable.
Just take something to read (I took my knitting but guessing that wont be your thing !!) it can be a long wait sometimes.
Oh and good luck - you'll be fine :-)DMP Mutual Support Thread Member : 3180 -
