I want a: cheap mid-year diary

Anyone bought one recently on the cheap? Ideally A5, week to view, starting as early as possible (June would be ideal) but not too fussy about this last bit.
I'll start the ball rolling:
£3.99 in Staples
Any better?

Hi,There was a big selection of them in whsmith the other day, some of them were really nice but a bit pricey. I think the cheapest one I saw was a plain one for £1.99. I think they started in June aswell although there were some that were for the whole of 2006.
Hope this helps.0 -
i think its more of an "academic" diary you are after then, but traditionally these run august-august, to fit with the academic year.
if you want something to tide you over until the academic diaries go on sale, partners had 05/06 academic diaries on sale for 30p :money:know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -

Hiya,
Just thought that i'd let you know i got my academic diary last year in the stationary shop (Overgate Centre, Dundee) for the grand total of 99p. It's A5 in size and they had it in blue, black, silver and purple/lilac and its great. Just as good if not better than the others such as WH Smith were selling but for as much as 6 times the price.
As they were so cheap, and a few of my uni colleague had the same, i just got some stickers and put them onto differentiate mine from theres.
Works are good too, but i often find them a hit or miss with what they have in stock and are often advertising "closing down" sales, but might be worth a look anyway.
Another option is a file - o - fax, although the initial outlay is dearer and you can get cheaper alternatives to a "genuine file - o - fax", you can get the academic inserts for those too often for around £1-£2 so it would last you longer and serve a further purpose than just a diary, such as address and note book etc etc.
So if you have a stationery shop or works near you have a look in there as it wont be long before they are back in the shops now that most uni's / colleges are finished for the year and they will most likely stock the inserts for the file- o - faxes too.
Hope this helps.0
