THe Gas and electric arrear's should be sorted in a couple of months, going to keep a close eye on the meter readings, and get that ight as quickly as poss, the 26 when the finanace finishes will go directly against the overdraft, and pay review in dec, so as tesco says very little helps,Debt Fee Day 1st April 2013 - working on it:T:T

Def look at the car insurance part - £50 each per month? That is high! OH has a high insurance group car and pays approx £30 a month, been driving 7 years and is 28. I know it all depends on circumstances, but it does seem a high amount.0

You are paying nearly £400 pm = nearly £5,000 pa on your cars. Your wife doesn't earn a great deal more than that. This stands out as the thing you really should rethink.0

You should definitely combine the phone/internet and TV, either Virgin or Sky, it would probably save £15/month or more. Also if you are on Sky, look at the packages and remove whichever ones you don't watch, eg. music/kids etc. They try and keep people on the "most popular" sets, but chances are you don't watch any channels on some of them.
On fuel - are the cars thirsty? £120/month each is quite a bit, I commute well over twice times as far and only spend about 50% more. It's certainly not worth getting into more debt to save on fuel, but worth thinking about if you could sell one and get a small/cheap car for the person who drives the furthest.
Also what is the situation with HMRC, are they accepting that with a view that it increases as soon as possible?0 -
For the car Situation, is not really an easy one, my wife travels 30 miles a day, myself 25 per day, If were really strict we can some times only use £45.00 a week in fuel, but our family lives a fair distance away who we visit fortnightly, so that all mounts up on a worse case basis, it can be 55 - 60 per week,
With the HMRC she agreeded a value to repay each month, based on are income and as long as we were sure to pay the first 12 months payments without any problems there would be no future change unless we contact them, no interest charged on this luckly,
