    IM GETTING MARRIED :happyhear
  • We have been to Mercedes Benz World a few times, it's a great place. Last time we went in September, Lewis Hamilton was there and we got autographs and photos, and he was lovely - it was one of the best days of my life!! :j. Might be a bit more difficult this time tho' as I imagine there will be a lot more people there but if you're willing to queue you might be lucky! As regards needing money on the day, unless you want to do any of the driving experiences, you shouldn't need much money as everything else is pretty much free normally. There will probably be plenty of parking but traffic is frequently bad round there so I think we might get the train or park in Tescos as Morganmoo said.

Can't wait - roll on the 8th!!!! :rotfl:

Thought i'd just mentioned that for those of you who may not have got any tickets (like myself :() but would like to go to an event at Mercedes World, this Sunday they have their Grand Prix weekend where they have a big screen showing the race.

Taken from the Mercedes Benz website.
Open to anyone with a passion for Formula 1, each day of our race weekends begins at 11.15am with a Grand Prix presentation, followed by the Silver Arrows Display at 11.45am. At 12.30pm, live coverage of all the action begins on the big screen. Afterwards, you’ll have the chance to experience a high-octane passenger lap around the circuits in a 6.2 litre V8 AMG – one of the most advanced performance cars in the world. There will also be a special presentation to introduce you further to the AMG performance icon.

Not quite the F1 event which this thread is about but i'd imagine it'd still be a pretty big atmosphere with it being the final race and at the brand new abi dhabi circuit.

I'll be going with the other half, so if anyone else is going i'll see you there!:T

Rhian, We watched the British GP at Mercedes Benz World and the atmosphere was brilliant !!

Regards parking I seem to remember that they do bus from Weybridge train station so maybe worth parking there ?

Also if your thinking of eating there the restaurant at MBW is fairly expensive and so is the cafe, but there is a good restaurant in Brooklands museum across the road at reasonable prices, its only things like sausage and chips or curry but keeps me happy !!
