The best way to stop this problem is to write!! not phone.
I don't know if it's legal but I use the prepaid junk mail envelopes. I just put a sticky label over the address and re address.:beer:

Royal mail will charge the recipient nearly £2 as they'll take it as if the envelope was never stamped in the first place.
I find it highly unlikely they would pay, and as such, your letter simply wont reach them. If you don't include a return address on it, it has no doubt made its way into a royal mail bin somewhere.
It used to work yonks ago, but doesn't anymore. They check the reply service number against the address, and sticking labels on top makes it rather obvious.
Test it by simply mailing one to yourself. When royal mail ring on your door and ask for money, just say you would rather refuse the envelope.
You won't see it again, and your test cost you nothing.0
