I recently took out my insurance through Quidco with Be Wiser as it was the same as my renewal elsewhere and included basic RAC cover, and not forgetting £80 cashback.
Shortly after completing the transaction online, Be Wiser phoned me 'to see if we can get it for you cheaper'.
I said i didnt want to do it if it was going to affect my Quidco cashback and i was told that the transaction had already gone through so it wouldnt. All they saved me in the end was the pence at the end, they just rounded down to the nearest pound.
Today i have checked my Quidco account only to find it has been declined.
I did not go through any price comparrison site so can only assume it is down to that callback.
I have submitted an enquiry, but i am just so angry, especially if it is down to the callback.
Please be aware of this if you take Be Wiser through Quidco.

Call BeWiser and say you want to cancel the insurance. Most companies give you a total refund if you cancel within 14 days, then just buy the same insurance again through Quidco and ignore any callbacks you might get!0

Thanks for your reply but i have had insurance for over a month now but i will certainly call them if i get no joy from my Quidco enquiry.0

most of the companies decline you if the transaction isnt solely managed online so dont expect you will get anywhere with the enquiry0

Quite simply they lied to you in order to get their commission and reach their target or they weren't sure and assured you anyway.0

I too took out car insurance in August this year through Quidco with the same extras as above. I got a phone call as well & was assured that the cashback would not be affected. I am paying over 3 monthly instalments & when the final instalment is paid, the guy said they would authorise the cashback through quidco. I have made 2 payments already. I will be so annoyed if this does not pay out the £80!0 -
I have just 5 minutes ago gone through Quidco with Be Wiser (before i saw this thread), to insure my car and they have already phoned twice, leaving text messages saying i could make BIG savings if only i phone them back. I just want me £80 cashback so there's no way i am picking the phone up. Must tell DD not to answer the phone unless the caller ID tells us its someone we know. I think these kind of tactics are morally reprehensible for a business, though sadly, nothing unusual.Grocery Challenge for October: £135/£200

i got a quote from them and it was double the price of the cheapest, 4 messages left on my work phone over the weekend, 3 emails asking me to call them for extra discounts. Didnt bother and then two days later they caught me at work the guy said he could give me super discounts, told him where to get off, if they cant give you the best price on the net whats the point of having a website, he said they could give more discounts over the phone hopeless company wont be getting a quote from them again rant over0

Well Be Wiser haven't stopped emailing me and texting me and phoning my mobile. There's no way i'm answering it. The £80 cashback says tracked on Quidco but there is an asterisk next to the bit where it says it is tracked, don't know what that indicates. They still keep blooming phoning though. My insurance runs out in a couple of days so they better put it through now or i will be on very angry woman. I'm already ticked off that they are so devious as to try to weedle out of paying the cashback.Grocery Challenge for October: £135/£200
