Hanging rod

Where do I buy a sping loaded about 50cm hanging rod/pole.
What I want it to do is go between the waredrobe and the nearby wall, so that I can hang clothes beside the waredrobe. I hope that I have described it well enough.

Hope I've understood you correctly....have you thought about those shower rails you can buy that are sprung loaded? I appreciate the size is an issue, but you might be able to cut it down to size? Not sure, I've never used one, but I'm sure they must be adjustable. Argos do one....

I've tried the spring loaded ones before and also the one's that cuffie mentions but with the weight of clothes it just kept falling down. I screwed 2 blocks of wood under each end of mine which cured the problemI haven't got one!0

B & Q do an assorted range of chrome rails of differing thicknesses plus the brackets and end stops that you can either suspend from the cupboard or fix against a wall. The rails fit into the brackets or end stops for support...We used a small one to suspend from kitchen cupboards with hooks for hanging kitchen implements from it works a treat....:T#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j
