in Cutting tax
I am doing a small admin project for a local business. They will pay me £600 for the work and have aksed me to invoice them and sort out my own tax/national insurance. How would I go about doing this?
I am currently in a full time job and pay tax through my employer each month automatically from my salary.

At the end of the tax year (next April), write to your tax ofice and ask for a self assessment as you have fee income to declare. You need to show the income under 'other untaxed income'. The tax will be payable by 31 Jan 2011.£705,000 raised by client groups in the past 18 mths :beer:0
