Sorry - bit late for your deadline. Had Hotpoint and Hoover washer / dryers for a number of years and ... nothing but trouble.
Bought a Zanussi 1600 spin speed 18 months ago (space a premium) and it's a dream. No problems at all. Doesn't crease (provided you don't overdry - that's nothing to do with separates or not?) and the drum size is very adequate.
But shop around (Pricerunner etc). Got this £200 cheaper than the lowest Internet quote, from Comet of all places. As they and Currys were having a bit of a loss-leader battle at the time.If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0 -
Hi Charlene
We had a Hotpoint WD for 2 years and I never had any trouble at all - it was perfect and as we had room for only 1 appliance at the time, it did the trick.
I found the key was only drying about half of what you washed...a bit of a pain but 1 relatively full wash load was really 2 drying loads. Sometimes I would turn it on overnight to wash and dry one load but the stuff was always creased when I did that. You just need to use smaller loads for the drying cycle.
I have gone back to 2 seperate machines now that we have more room and I still find sometimes my dried stuff is creased but it is usually my own fault for leaving it on too long too hot or over filling.
And as an aside - I love Ilyana Vanzant, you have reminded me to go have a re read of one of her books I have :O)The smallest deed is greater than the grandest intention ~ Anonymous0 -
Thanks so much for the replies. I haven't bought one yet, it's a bit of a nightmare to be honest, but I'm off now to look for prices for the ones mentioned.
Thanks again!

Charlene,
There's 178 of them here!! Should be sorted on price - but you can change that to 'popularity' etc, as you wish.
Worth giving yourself a headache ploughing through them - as one that fits your requirements may be considerably cheaper from a reputable 'net company.
The list should purely be washer / dryers - but that does depend on the companies applying the right codes for the search engine to pick them up? So a little caution when checking them?
