Gotta agree, when they make a statement they generally follow it up with evidence that supports it. An awful lot of posters don't, some even stop posting in that thread than spout the same stuff in another where they haven't been called.

TBH I take it all with a pinch of salt anyway, both sides think they're right so the opinions are fairly useless. The facts behind them help the rest of us make decisions though, so I'm glad they post.

Then again its hard backing up a bear arugment with links on the internet when the media tend to ignore any price reductions ;)

Afterall this is the same media who think its good news that house prices see a rise

However, both agree that low interest rates and fewer properties on the market have been key to the "recovery" in prices.

And when IR start rising and people are forced to sell due to higher unemployment?

Why use the meedja? Surely a solid list of actual house price sales is all anyone needs to show what has been happening recently? How you spin it is up to you....

I would get you to explain the concept to the Forum, but I also know you don't know the first thing about it ;)

You mean borrowing to buy that new car or that over priced 3 bed house valued at £250,000 when there is a long, hard painful road ahead caused by the biggest bust in over 80 years which will lead to government cuts, unemployment, tax rises etc

I'll keep saving for a nice big deposit thanks and watch house prices come done even further ;)

OK can you provide the above for my area? Or maybe for Northern Ireland. Perhaps a list compiled by someone with no vested interest in house prices.
