I think eating well and on a budget can go hand in hand. Saying that though a close friend I have buys all organic and also £3000 a year worth of health supplements, for one their weekly shopping bill comes out at £70+

I have refused to by fruit juices now from the supermarket, not because of the aspartamine, but because of the amount of sugar that fruit juices release in your body all at once, I would rather just eat an orange for a slower release of sugar.

What annoys me is how supermarkets put their prices up on fruit during the summer months as they know it is a time when everyone will be buying more than usual. It also annoys me how prices vary from shop to shop e.g. Asda in Telford sell cherries for £6.47 a kg and a huge punnet of strawberries for £1.28, Asda Shrewsbury sell cherries for £8.87 a kg and a small punnet of strawberries for £1.28.

As for meat, I am not a big meat eater however will tend to go for chicken and fish, but would rather get from the fresh counter than pre packaged
