Loan for unemployed

I am unemployed on benefits, i recieve about £5500 annually. I desperately feel i want a car after selling mine 6 months ago as it would be so much easier for me too get to the jobcentre, get CV's out there, interviews and i been thinking of working for a company like avon which i would really need a car for. Would anyone think about giving me a loan being unemployed? I am a private tenant but i am only 20 years old. I dont have alot of bills and i have a little bit of money left over each month so i could pay a loan. I pay my bills each month, no problem with that.

Hi Jemma, it's good that you want to get back into work i.e. thinking of doing Avon, but personally I think you would have to sell quite a lot of cosmetics to keep yourself, pay bills and run a car given that you would not be able to claim JSA anymore

I run a car and just insuring, taxing and keeping it running is a major expense. Plus, if you were to apply for a loan, your unemployed status would rule out most if not all of the high street banks, leaving only companies who would charge excessive APRs.

Sorry of this is "raining on your parade" but I'd put the idea of a car to one side for now.

I thought that may be the case. I will just keep saving a bit of money each month and then get a run about.
