75p per month for Sky basic package

I called Sky this morning because I have been thinking of cancelling the contract for some time. I live in a purpose-built flat where I have to pay Community Vision an exorbitant £79 per year for "maintenance" of the communal dish. So upon receiving the invoice for this year I considered getting Homechoice to avoid this charge.

Anyway, I explained this, and the lady said yes she'll put the cancellation through, and then put me through to her colleague "to take me through the final steps of the process". I explained the reasoning again, and she offered me 75p per month for 6 months for 2 of the 6 entertainment packs, which is normally priced at £15 per month. For 4 of the 6 packs, the price would be £13.50 instead of £18. I asked why she was able to give me this offer, and she said that it was "a new thing that has been introduced".

So, if anyone else in a similar situation, maybe this will help.

nice 1. i had a m8 who after having 6 months half price on two out of six packages. Phoned them up and said that he couldnt afford to pay the full price and that they would have to come and collect the equipment. Sky ended up offering another six months half price..... bonus!!!!!!!!!!
