Argos Loans

Hi,

I am needing some advice regarding my Loan. I have received a letter from Argos Loans changing my Loan Agreement.

The original text stated that I am to pay them by Direct Debit until the debt is paid off. They have changed the text to remove the Direct Debit payments as the no longer accept that form of payment.

I am really !!!!ed off that I am going have to set up a standing order or pay with my card over the phone.

Can they change it to this?

Thanks.

  • Are you sure this letter is genuine?
Why would any reputable lender want to opt out of direct debits?

I suppose to answer your query then yes they can change it if they want to - as long as the original terms of the loan are not changed such as interest charged etc.
