A good underwriter will be able to tell a lot by your statements. Assuming they have anough, I never understood the point of one statement being requested as people behave when they know they are looking to get a mortgage!

The Leeds have just put their base rate trackers up by 0.30%
  • Having the valuation done Monday. So does this mean I will be offered it as long as the value is ok?

    Thanks
  • As long as the valuation is ok:rolleyes:

The snag my daughter hit, was that the Leeds under valued the property, by quite a bit. It wasn't a new build flat, but it was valued as if it was. After a lot of dicussions with the HA, they agreed to reduce the asking price by 15k, my daughter had to make up the difference, as neither the Leeds nor the HA would accept each others comparable valuations.

As this is a new build be prepared for a similar situation.

    Good Luck

  • The HA have just revalued it as they were originally up for £133000 and it has now been dropped to £127500 so I'm hoping it will be fine. Fingers crossed.

    Thanks for your advice.
  • Had an email from Leeds to say mortgage has been offered..worry over.
