Hi,
anybody knows what's currently going on on or at least close to Dublin Road in Newry?
The A1 into Newry has been closed off by the Police at the A1/M1 Roundabout and I had to detour to get home. Now I am sitting here, and I have seen loads of Police Cars passing our estate (off Dublin Road), and a Helicopter circles above us for the last hour.
Can't find anything on any of the News sites.
Cheers,

Nine held over Newry disturbance
Published Date: 06 October 2009
NINE men remain in police custody following public order offences in Newry.
Police responded to reports of fighting in the Dublin Road area of the city on Monday afternoon.
The men, all aged in their 20s, are believed to be foreign nationals.
A suspected firearm recovered by the PSNI was later examined by Army Technical Officers.
PSNI officers also recovered other items from the scene for examination, including a number of vehicles.
A PSNI spokeswoman said a man was taken to hospital to be treated for non life-threatening injuries which were not believed to have been caused by a gun.
SDLP MLA Dominic Bradley praised the "swift action" of the police.
"I have no doubt that had police not arrived in a prompt and timely fashion then someone could have been seriously injured or, even worse, someone could have been killed," he said0
