Just got a big bunch of flowers

from Barclays with their personal apologies.

Much as they are beautiful, it has confused me a bit. I ask for charges back and they send me flowers.

I get the feeling they are trying to stall, they have asked for more than the 14 days. Anyone else had this tactic tried, it's just erm wierd.

Maybe they'll send chocolates next week:rotfl:

I always wondered what they did with their huge profits - now I know! You must be one of their best customers that they want to keep coz I never got anything like that when I was with them!

Send them a thank you letter for the flowers but point out the clock is still ticking on your claim:rotfl:

They probably hired a pysochologist to tell them that sending out flowers would placate their customers and then some of them would not want to pursue them right to the bitter end.

Or, you can imagine a board meeting where the decision was made to send them out....probably along the same lines as above.

A waste of their money if everyone sticks to their guns!

    Good luck!

LOL broken hearted - that is brilliant. Perhaps they are trying to guilt you into stopping your court action or it may be bribery but Im sure they will have to try a bit harder if it is :p

It's a standard bank thing used to placate customers.

They have a list of gifts with a certain company from wine, flowers, chocs to pens, decanters etc...... they usually stick with flowers as some people complain if they are sent alcohol (alcoholics etc).

If a customer is particularly miffed and the bank feel that the customer is going to be a tricky one then the manager okays a gift. They are usually sent out with a letter that states at some point that the gift is 'without prejudice' which means "we're not admitting that we're wrong by sending you these!" :D

Get back to them, say thank you for the flowers but that your complaint hasn't been resolved and you are still expecting to hear from them regarding XXXX.
Just run, run and keep on running!
