Tesco vouchers > Goldsmiths product > refund > cash?

Hi,

This is my first post so please go easy!

I am pondering whether it is possible to use my tesco's vouches in goldsmiths (4x their value), then get a full refund for the product - essentially turning the tesco's vouchers into 4x their value in cash.

Has anyone tried this or anything similar?

I have read the t's and c's on the website and there is nothing to say that you can't do this..

At a guess, I would say it will be the same as most places - if you pay with vouchers, the refund will be in vouchers or store credit.

Yup Karen has it- its the same in all stores- you get back the same method you paid by- only in this case they may no longer have your vouchers and may issue you with a credit note or say "exchange only". Remember, once you have paid for something, unless its faulty, your not entitled to anything- even an exchange, its the stores being "customer friendly" when they offer exchanges or refunds. Some do not even offer that.

My sister in law and I were hoping to combine our vouchers to buy DH a posh watch for his 40th. I read in the T&Cs that

"Purchases using Tesco vouchers can only be redeemed by the card holder (whose name is printed on the tokens) i.e. they may not be given as gifts or combined with someone else’s Tokens on a single purchase"

Do you think if she went in, bought something and returned it for a credit note that we could combine Tesco vouchers and a credit note to buy the watch. It's about £700, so cash isn't really an option!

    Thanks
  • Don't quote me on this but I have recently used two lots of vouchers for the same order. Mine and DD's. I ordered them from tesco in 1 go and they all came attached we do have the same surname though.

I would try and order the Goldsmith vouchers online with Tesco using yours and your SIL clubcard vouchers on your account.
I have ordered days out vouchers on my online account but my MIL's clubcard vouchers. They all came back in my name.
The only time I wouldn't try this is with a holiday.

Does any of that make sense?:D

Goldsmiths accept vouchers for one purchase from several different names.

I have sold lots on E-Bay which people have asked me to convert to Goldsmiths. One guy I sold to was buying over £4000 worth from different sellers.
