CVs in .doc/.pdf formats

    .pdf is a far more universal file extension and will mean that your CV can be read my more people. It also can't be edited, is easy to produce (you can save a document as a .pdf in most microsoft applications).

    Most large companies have desktop faxes etc nowadays and they mostly create .pdf documents so it should be able to be read.

    Docx is a pain as you need to get new software to read it rather than download a tiny pdf reader of the internet somewhere.
