I want to buy one this year as real ones never last for me, as got little boy and he wants it up 1st december
alright me as well
The dog keeps brushing under it and knocking even more needles off, it was our first christmas with a dog Last year so wasn't sure how she'd behave with it, so i have been looking at artificial trees and want to know any recommendations for pre lit ones about 5 to 6 ft not too bushy.
Seen one in studio catalogue and you can replace the bulbs on that one, anybody got one?? Thanks.

I tend to get the mini-real ones once they are reduced about a week to christmas/christmas eve- then the needles never fall- there is no time for them to!
But both my sister and my mum have fake pre-lit Xmas trees.
My sister actually 'stole' my mum's tree from her two years ago, my mum having had it for three years prior to that. It was from Argos I think- or Woolworths (not much help there- but I will try to find out tomorrow for you).
My mum replaced it with a optic-fiber black thing from House of Fraiser, which she seems to love as it changes colour, looks like it jumped out from 1986 and has lasted the two years she's had it and (unfortunetly) shows no signs of stopping. The lights come from the ends of each wirey plastic optial fibery thing (image: http://www.lightinthebox.com/LED-Canadian-Pine-Fiber-Christmas-Tree-120CM--GQL-301--Start-From-5-Units--Free-Shipping_p11380.html looks like that but in black with brighter pink-blue-green-yellow lights) Lovely. :undecided
I have a friend who got herself a fake non-lit one from Argos about 8 years ago now, its still going strong, but then it has no lights of its own.
Failing that, if your unsure, wait till the sales, and just decorate a plant- thats what I did last year when I could not afford a tree- just be careful of the leaves and the heat from any light, make sure there are no flowers on the tree/plant you pick.0 -
Well i found one, didn't go with studio catalogue after reading reviews on them, got it from good old trusty ebay, its a BN debenhams prelit one which is retailing now for £65 and ebay at £45, so i did my moneysaving bit
and no stress with the lights....replaceable to
