Company Proposing to change Terms and Conditions

Hi,

Hoping someone can offer some advice.

Company proposing to change terms and conditions - taking away Travelling Time which is personally worth to myself approx 8k per year.

Can the company just take this away or can I negotiate some form of payment for this being changed.

Any offers of advise on this would be gratefully appreciated.

Have they made any offer to compensate for this loss of benefit, e.g a on-off payment???

No offer to date - which is what I was hoping maybe forthcoming for consideration.

Reference travelling covered - sign contract employment to work out of Head Office eg Maidstone. Company want you to work at various worksites throughout South East, therefore at present time they pay you travel time from Maidstone to various worksite - eg Maidstone - London 1hr travel each way in additon to your rostered hours.

I assume you have use of a company vehicle, so you don't actually need to report to head office at start and finish. All I can suggest is that you drive from home to head office for your normal start time, if the site is in the right direction, or if it is in the other direction, you start from home at your normal start time and get back home not much later than finishing time.
