Pressure cookers on electric?

I have a pressure cooker which I use very often on my gas cooker at home.
I'm thinking of buying one for my holiday home, but have trouble with the cooker there as its all electric, and I am not confident cooking on the electric, it seems harder to control to me.
So my questions are:
Do they work as well on electric?
Is there a problem controlling the pressure?
Does it take longer to cook?
I don't cook a lot while away, think I would if I could prepare a meal quicker in a pressure cooker but have no idea about using one on electric.
Can anyone advise me please before I rush out and buy another and get stuck with it.
Thanks in advance
LL

Like previous poster I use my pressure cooker on electric hob, ceramic, and never had any probs. I do the same, full heat till it reaches pressure then down to 3 or 4 for the required time. used to have gas cooker but only took a day or two to get used to electric when we moved here. Good luck.Fully paid up member of S.A.B.L.E.

As Jimmo, I have never used anything but electric and have had a pressure cooker for 40 years (not the same one) lol. my dials go from 1-9 on a ceramic hob. After pressure is reached I turn to 7 and dont need to adjust. Timings are the same as instruction book. The time will come when you have everything but time.0
