Hi,

I am looking some roofing felt to replace what is currently on my dog kennel.

I don't need much so don't want to buy a whole roll.

I need one piece 1m x 1.2m

Is there anywhere sells it off the roll?

Also, which is the best to get - know nothing about felt other than you put it on the roof of a shed.

What's the difference between the black and green felt - other than colour?

I'm in South Belfast, but work in Ballymena.

Thanks,
Jim
Jim.

  • Just a thought but have you tried poping into one of the many companies who make garden sheds. They may give/sell you an off-cut.. worth a try

I think the green felt is thicker than the black, the thinner felt would be easier to fold around the ends of the kennel roof, making a neater job.

There's a few smaller builders merchants I would try in the ballymena area :

    Robert Guy's - 028 2568 5224
    Clady timber - 028 25821512
    Montgomerys Ballymena - 028 2565 2337 / Cullybackey - 028 25881022
    Brook Supplies Ahoghill - 028 25878400‎

I'd go for the thicker stuff (mineral felt), it can be tucked around (use block of wood & hammer) & nailed. It'll last far longer, it's what i used for my rabbit hutch................
What if the Hokey Pokey really is what it's all about !!!
