Where can I meet new people in Nottingham?

Hi

Just wondered if there's anyone on here from Nottingham with any ideas?

I moved over here to live with my partner but would like to make some girlie friends to meet for coffee, shopping etc.

If I search the internet - I only get dating agencies and as I have already got a partner - I'm not looking for a fella - I am just looking for new friends.

Any ideas??

Thanks:confused:

Do you have children yet? just thinking they are a good way to meet people through toddler groups etc... not suggesting you should have one just to do that tho!!

It's the usual suggestion though... have you thought of joining a gym or going to nightschool or anything like that?

I am not too far away from you (Tamworth)... but a little too far for a coffee unfortunately else I'd have joined you for one!!

I haven't got children and I am not working at the moment - I was caring for my dad and he just passed away so I thought I would take a couple of months out to settle in to Nottingham!

It's a difficult one really - I'm not really into going to the gym - but it may be my only option!

how about a knitting club or something like that? John Lewis run them, and councils do adult skills classes too, of all sorts of things. Maybe a book club? Any hobbie should land you with people who also enjoy similar things to you. Good luck!

I'm in Nottingham, but am agoraphobic so don't get out a great deal!

Have you looked at doing a college or uni course? For volunteering, the Volunteering Centre on Mansfield Road should be able to help with finding you something suitable?
    Gone ... or have I?
