Hi
I didnt manage to get a PS3 but only realised they were doing it in the last slot of the day!!
I have one a 26" Sony LCD TV when they did a similar thing last year
so its not a scam, its just hard to win!
The trick is to hold your phone line open and dial the first set of numbers as these are always the same, its only the last four that change each time. When the number is revealed type in the four missing numbers (provided you havent been cut off) and hopefully you will get through quicker than someone else.
I won 2 26" sony bravia TVs like this for £99 !!0 -
I got one!
I rang through on the 11.45pm slot, already had 09042510 preprogrammed in the phone so just needed the last 3 digits to complete the number.
Got a message saying I had won and then they phoned back at 12.15am (!!) to take my payment details.

What does it cost if you get through but don't get one? They could easily recover the low selling cost with the cost of the phonecalls - imo sounds a bit scammy.0

Surprised someone actually got one .From my own experience i would never attempt to buy anything again .
Some time ago they were selling a 19" LCD for £100 as a one off ,after watching them announce to call in on the slot ,then them changing the number ,as soon as you got through(literally seconds) they had mysteriously been sold .
After trying 4 seperate times with no success i got charged £6 .
There was also a thread at the time & no one that posted had managed to get one .
Total rip off IMO .Gotta love a good bargain !0 -
Lets be honest we were all including myself guilty of being GREEDY, i tried and got through to be told all gone. Would never EVER bother again with that shopping channel0

I wouldn't say people are being greedy, just looking for a good bargain.
However I would agree that £1.50 a time to call is how they can afford to do these deals. Everytime I watched it last night the presenters were making it very clear that you would get charged even if you didn't get one. I would say the interest in the promotion yesterday probably paid for the reduction in price 10 times over!0 -
well i emailed to complain and just got a call back and was told it was a technical error which is why myself and no other customers could place a bid on the phone. then she went onto say it wont be on again. proved my point reallyWins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.0

Hi All
If this happens again I would recommend that you complain to Ofcom 0300 123 3333. I think there's also web forms but not sure what this would fall under.
If you're paying for a phone call each time and you don't get through then there's a chance Ofcom could make them pay your money back.0
