I have a problem with Provident. Many of my neighbours are with them, and without being nasty I'm not sure they're all able to understand apr's and what they're getting themselves into. Not just Provident, I've been approached by other doorstep lenders, but I think cold calling in areas where they are more likely to meet 'customers' who don't understand what they're doing is just wrong, morally if not legally.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

Every post from the OP, even those earlier this year when he joined the forum, is about Provident (back then he even thought that Provident owned Welcome !!)

Obviously on a bit of a 1 man mission. I would go with the disgruntled customer theory myself, or maybe a failed ex-staff member. Whichever, give his vitriol a very wide berth.

Provident lend money and expect it to be paid back. The APR's are high reflecting the short term agreements, the doorstep collection service and their anticipated arrears levels. Get over it.

I don't know, I wonder if he works for prov. He makes a scathing post, and lots of people jump in to defend them, leaving them looking good.

    Suggestion.....Carriage Return, Line Feed.
Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.

i may be wrong here but i thought provident, real finance, vanquis and wescot were all owned by the same parent company .
i once applied online for a loan with real finance( which they turned down because they reckoned i owed their sister company wescot some money for a old mobile contract) but ever since i've been hounded by provident to take a loan out with them .
im talking one letter a week, every week, texts, email and the odd phonecall
they really dont give up once your on their database

I want a job with them... If half the bonus goes on tax then that would mean I would be earning over £150k per annum!!!
    Now where do I apply....

Jackanory, end of. I dislike Provident, but know that the allegations posted are false and advice damaging.

I suspect OP is on a 1 person mission. Most of the information is inaccurate, there are strict rules governing dorrstep lending which all agents must adhere to. Like anything there will be exeptions, but that is why there are systems in place to deal with them.
