First Plus Land Registry Charge

I have recently received a letter from FP statting that they have not been able to register there charge at the Land Register due to the first mortgage lender not having granted consent.
Does this mean this loan is currently unsecured and FP have no charge on the house.
Is the land registry the best place to find out?
All advice greatly recieved

Ooo. Interesting.
I would check with Land Registry ASAP and perhaps a solicitor to ask. Lots of solicitors offer free half hour consultations.
Although on the surface it appears that they have no charge, I wonder what a court would make of it as you have signed a loan agreement that there will be a charge. Best get a solicitor to look at it pronto - especially if it makes a difference between you being able to afford the house after BR. BUT *if* it were an unsecured loan, would that leave you with lots of equity in the property that the OR would be interested in??0 -
Normaly second charges have a period of time to record their charges at land reg (cant remember how long this is though), if they miss this then its their own faultHi, im Debtinfo, i am an ex insolvency examiner and over the years have personally dealt with thousands of bankruptcy cases.
