Just fancied a rant- I HATE S LOANS CO!!

Aaargh, they really are bad arnt they?

Student loans co. I take it all back "they are brill on the phone"- no they are not. Called them to ask how much i owe them ( my understanding, confirmed for me in March was at this stage I'll owe them 600 or 6 months. Now the guy on the phone told me i owe 924.86

How can I ? I changed from 92 odd to 100 quid and paid off some shrapnel in Oct 05, in order that it was a nice round 00s figure and would be easily projectable as to when I could pay it off. Now its all changed, and I owe more?

I have of course requested all of my statements but this will put my DFD back a little bit, Im bloody gutted :(

How much do you think you owe Lynz? I'm sure you know best? May be that guy got it wrong - it is possible. Ring them back and ask again. Have a look at your last statement and see what it says...

Oh dear... not good news. Sorry to hear that your DFD has been delayed

I don't have much time for them if I am honest... but I'm sure most people have had some kind of conversation with them when you felt like it would be more productive to bang your head against a brick wall.

I hope their letter explains all... and then apologises for their error and offer to wipe out the debt by means of apology and distress! Unlikely but you never know...

Ever wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.

Basically, I thought I owed them bang on 600 quid, ie only 6 months left.

They are saying 9 months + 35 quid. ( which shouldnt be a problem to find) but Im getting down to the sums ( YET AGAIN! GAH) and hopefully I can have a proper DFD that I can live with.

Really sorry about that...why dont you ask for it in writing to be 100% sure they havent got it wrong? In view of what you were told could you not write a formal letter of complaint & ask them to freeze the interest as a goodwill jesture....cheeky but worth a try (go on...you know you want to!). Big hug...if its any consolation I hate loan cos too cos (ven hough I was stupid) I end up paying them 8000 in interest alone. !!!!!!!s. hehe just discovered that this censors things! The word I used inferrs that loan companies are illigitimate!
