Hi thanks for that, can you tell me how i do that please?

Go to post 1 and click edit, then you can alter the SOA. It needs to go down as secured debt.

    hello sososad,
Well done for posting your SOA.

Now it is in black and white it should tell you that you have to act now.
No excuses, no hedging, no fudging.
You have to strip every expense out that you can. You have to reduce every expense that you can. And you have to do it now.

This is not aimed specifically at you but the following might interest you. -

Examine yourself, is this really your “light bulb moment.” Do you still think you will win the lottery? If you find plenty of reasons and excuses not to act immediately then the bulb has not come on properly. Do you really want to get out of debt. If you can not do without (this is a general list) - A Sky contract, Mobile Phones, Two cars, Music lessons, Lottery tickets, Air fresheners, Cloths for a year, Charity contributions, Savings for a child, Presents, Holidays, Fitness/Sports Membership, then again the bulb has not come on properly. That's not without mentioning Cigarettes!

    My very best wishes

Hi, thanks to everyone who has read and offered advice on my diary.

After waiting nearly 3 weeks to see if we were accepted into a DAS, i discovered today that we will not know until Friday 6th November at the earliest  this is due to my money adviser saying that he has to give all creditors our details and financial statement and let them know that he is now helping us sort out our debts, then after 3 weeks from that date he applies for the DAS, I'm happy that they are allowing us to apply for it so cant complain ;).

All going well we will be debt free 8 years from 6th November 2009 if not earlier. So here goes im on a countdown to the 6th November and cant wait.

Help please, i have tried changing my SOA but it doesnt change the figures at the bottom, anyone got any suggestions?.

Also, i have looked at selling our car and we will just about break even so looks like im going to be at least £500 a month better off (yipee!!) this means we can pay this to our creditors and hopefully that 7 or 8 years of debt repayment can be reduced by half :j. Will have to try and save a bit first to ensure we have another car as i need it for work.
