Just been into a bank to do a Ms and when I said I was enquiring about opening a new bank account I heard a colleague mutter something about mystery shopper. The third colleague then stopped what she was doing and blatently looked around at me. I got taken to a back room and was given a wonderous service, lots of smiles and eye contact, full and thorough explanation of what was on offer, asked if there was anything else she could do for me. The equivalent of a burger floor show. Its really cheesed me off, because if they are expecting you, whats the mystery in it? I feel as though I have just gone through the motions, and wasted my time. I knew that she knew, and she knew that I knew, and when she gets the report, she'll know for sure anyway!!! Should I mention this in my report? Sorry about the moan, but its the first time this has happened, and its taken me aback a little.

Sadly, I wouldn't dare mention it. I get exactly the same when I do bookies, their eyes just light up as soon as I say the magic words.

I think that if you do report it, you'll end up being blacklisted. Just play the game.

Oh my god, 5 phone shops in one day!! My head is pounding  so glad I sat down after each shop and scribbled down some notes on each one. Just got to do the reports now  If I see another Blackberry I swear I'll scream, although they are fantastic and now I want one!!!!:rotfl:

Thanks for the reply. I was thinking of not mentioning it, just in case they queried something in my report because I had brought it up, or didn't pay me! I've calmed down now, it just really wound me up at the time.

They do but ABA-I tend to release all of their work in the first 3 days of the month for a fvery fast turn around. So at this time of month there isnt much left, all depends what clients you have as well. There is one Mobile shop in Glasgow just now on ABA but thats all I can find.

I persoally would mention it as it always winds me up to, but I mention it in a different way. So for this scenario I would say

'member of staff was not fully focused on your enquiry and was easily distracted by another member of staff who passed a comment you could not make out, whilst a 3rd member of staff did appeared to be listening in to your enquiry so you did not feel you transaction was treated with the privacy you would expect!'

It's all about how you word it, it's amazing what you can get away with saying!

I guess we're going to have to disagree on this one Mike.

When I did say exactly what happened in a bookies recently, my report was put into query and, guess what, 2 weeks later I got a phone call querying it. Trust me, it's really not worth it.
