What is the purpose of the points on RE ?

Oh my goodness who's turn is it to pick up the spoon and feed the newbie!
I'm thinking if we all had this amount of time to ask and answer questions none of us would have time for MSing!
Please, please do some jobs and work that way what the pay is, what the best jobs are and if you are suited to MSing. Its how most of us learn and we are very supportive but none of us can tell you if you will like/be good at/make money from MSing. We are all self employed tarts that sell ourselves to the highest bidder but most of us will sell ourselves to any bidder and find out the hard way.

No, not a journalist. Just a bit too enthusiastic for some people it seems. I want to ask loads of questions and understand as much as possible.

I want to learn and i realise this is boring for experienced people but I am very determined to find information.

Best people to ask would be RE cos nobody else has a clue as to the purpose of them :eek::eek::eek::eek:

OK guys I have the spoon in my hand for this one. The answer is none as far as we can see. Does that help? Can I now predict your next few questions? How many points do you have? Has it made a difference to the jobs you get offered? Have you been excluded from any jobs you are aware of because of your points balance? Do you know someone with less/more points than you?

St00zer, can I suggest maybe starting with TERN or BARE. The reason being is that after you complete your assignment, your report is rated out of 10 with pointers for improvement. It is more straightforward for the inquizzitive, every MS company has it's own way of doing things but few actually give feedback of how the reports meet what the MS company is after.
