But if you don't have a family?
What about if you're skint so you're doing MSing to survive, you'd have no money for a social life...0 -
I think I must be one of the slower report writers hehe. Much better than I used to be but I have been known to take up to an hour on some reports
I'm off for a few jobs this morning, 1 longer and 3 quicker jobs then I'm off to Cornwall until Monday :j0 -
Oh, I wish I could give non pc staff descriptions. The best way to differentiate between two people I'm trying to describe is that only one looked like she smoked 40 a day.0

Ooh, whereabout in Cornwall are you off to? You'll love it, it's a lovely part of the country, Devon is too.0 -

Also during a busy week I now don`t have to cook if I get a meal job and Sunday lunch out when ever possible. I have also been able to treat the family, something I could never afford before. They have all now left home but it is nice to be able to take them and my grandchildren to a freebie lunch or day out. Therefore I suffer the reports.0 -

Then you have the time for the reports and I would say go for it and use the assignments to help with food and entertainment. That's the beauty of the job....you can spend all your time doing it or just slot it into what suits you. I was agreeing with you that it is possible to do 20/30 jobs a week but you need the time to do the job and submit the reports. It takes a while though to reach the stage where you get offered enough. I average 60 ( some phone calls and auditing so not all MS) a month juggling 30 hours paid work and family.....I could take more assignments on and do when I want extra money for something in particular but it's not easy to push yourself to the limits and keep a cool calm head:eek:0 -

Thanks guys, I'm off to Saltash, next to Plymouth. I grew up in Cornwall, partly in Newquay but mostly in Saltash. Going to visit my parents and sister but I also have a job interview down there on Monday morning! Not sure if it's a good move as the top of the pay scale is already £3k below what I'm on now, the bottom is a massive £10k below  and the MS opportunities aren't as good as here either. There are a lot of positives though!!!!0 -
I am not convinced about the 20-30 jobs per week on top of a full time job either.
Unless:
1) You are doing some of the jobs / reports in company time.
2) You are living in a parallel universe to me, as 20 to 30 jobs per week every week have just not been available recently, let alone do-able.
3) Rather you than me!0 -
