I have searched, but can't find a thread to help. Please move if necessary.
I have bought a cast iron casserole dish which I plan to use on the sstove top as well as in the over, and know you have to season it before use. Can some kind person please help with how? Also, the best way to look after it please?

I need to know too as I am expecting a dutch oven next week
I think it is oil on kitchen towel, wipe all over and heat hot. I think 450
I should know as I have a cast iron griddle that is 20 years old. Mind you I just wipe and heat. Never use soap for washing0 -
