Credit card exhilliration

Oh I feel so refreshed!
Last night, hubby said oh don't forget to pay the credit card, so we sat down together to pay the bills and tidy up the finances.
He went to the index file where I keep all the cards we own, everything from membership to loyalty to bank cards.
He went through it and between us we closed at least 4 credit cards, cut them up, and then cleared the silly balance on another card, I have enough money comming in from selling my car next weekend, so that I will clear my credit card debt next week.
It's amazing how 'light' I feel.
I also went through the files and binned all the old statements for next and credit cards where I only used them for the balance transfer. (shredding them of course)
I almost feel so organised, it's scary!
I thought I would share this, so that it may inspire someone, somewhere, that there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Well maybe I have had that moment. But I am sightly confused. I will still be paying £300 per month for the car, but it doesn't bother me because I have budgeted for it. So am I still away with the fairies?
