Was it money owed to you or sos?:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0

the arrears accumulated when ex decided to do a dna test and that took ages...later there was a problem with the direct debit and he was about 6 months without paying anything0

I am thinking that arrears due to you as the pwc and arrears due to the sos would be dealt with differently i.e if it was owed to you there may be a way around this by cancelling your csa case (this should ONLY be done if you could trust him to pay outside of the csa) but if it was owed to the sos then I doubt you would have any say in this. What prompted you to go to the csa to begin with? The reason I ask is that if he has chosen not to contribute to his child before out of choice then under no circumstances would I cancel the csa!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0

im sorry but what is it sos?0 -
Were you on benefits at all during your claim? If so, then arrears may be due to the Secretary of State (SoS) and you won't have a say about how they collect them. However, if all arrears are due to you, then you can of course tell the CSA that you wish for them to take it over a longer period of time but they will still want it repaid as quickly as possible.0

i was for a while on jobseeker allowance but the arrears are due to me0

called csa yesterday and cancelled the payment, just gotta be sure now that they send the money back to my ex and that they send a new and updated schedule with the regular payments + arrears so there is no more mistakes or missunderstandings...so hopefully everything will be sorted soon and my ex will carry on paying like before, because i never asked csa for them to write off the arrears, im happy with the 2 year rule!
is it a long process to cancel this payment and just get back to what it used to be?
thanks0
