Apologies for posting within this forum but I have just had a premium text message that charged me £1.50 to receive. I am posting in this forum so that if anyone else suffers the same fate they can use the MSE search function. UPDATE - it is because of a comp I entered on here

The text was from tonesuwant.com and with a message to stop the texts by texting STOP to 85222. It also listed a customer service number on 08081201926.

I have contacted my mobile provider and they have placed a bar on premium rate services. I then rang the customer service number and the gentleman stated that they had been sold my number by a company that I had entered a competition with. He immediately removed my number from their database and said he will issue a postal order to refund my money.

The second reason I am posting in this forum is that I then received a confirmation text to state I have now been removed from Scottish and Newcastle SMS mailing lists. These run the Strongbow, Heineken, John Smiths and Kronebourg text comps which I have entered and they were listed on this forum.

O no i just recieved my postal order form this b4 and got another today. what was the number you have to ring to get ur money back?

James & Gemma will give away a pair of seat each day during the breakfast show this week (Monday to Thursday).

If you're over 18 get ready to text in with why we should take you out for dinner? e.g.
    • I can't cook
    • my wife’s burnt the salad,
    • I've lost a stone and want to celebrate etc...
