Have Alliance & Leicester dropped SVR?

Not Happy! I am in the same position now, my fixed rate term expired and I have been moved to the SVR of 4.99%, despite the website saying the SVR for Santander is 4.24%. They are clearly trying to force eveyone to move from A&L to Santander products (and pocketing £125 per time as a transfer fee). Sharp practice Santander!!!!0

I have a similar issue with HBOS. Halifax customers get an SVR of 3.5, but becaue mine is still classed as BOS I pay 4.84% SVR. I even access my mortgage accout by logging in through the halifax website!
Plan to leave HBOS soon - they have messed up every change they have made to my mortgage and ended up compensating me twice. WOnt be sad to see the back of them0
